Frequently asked questions

Coverage questions we hear most

Q1
Does Medicare cover diabetic shoes?
Yes. Medicare Part B covers one pair of diabetic shoes each calendar year for patients who qualify. Your responsibility is typically the 20% Part B coinsurance after the deductible, which secondary insurance often covers.
Q2
How often can you get diabetic shoes through Medicare?
Once per calendar year. Medicare covers one pair of therapeutic shoes annually, provided your physician renews the certification each year.
Q3
How long can I expect the process to be?
Most patients receive their diabetic shoes within 1–2 weeks from the time your physician’s certification is submitted. The exact timeline depends on how quickly we receive your documentation and complete insurance verification.
